This is a notice to inform you that we are in the process of working to upgrade the software on a number of our shared servers to future proof them for many years to come. The vast majority of clients will not be affected.
We are seeing a few clients (8 in total over the past week) whose sites have stopped working. This is due to the versions of software they are using in that it is not fully compatible with the latest stable version of MySQL or PHP and requires an older version of MySQL or PHP.
We are working to accommodate these small number of clients by moving them to one server we will keep with the older versions.
Apologies if you are affected and we will work as quickly as we can to move you to another server. This notice is a reminder to all clients that as with all things computer related software changes regularly so it is important to make sure you keep all software scripts up to date to make sure they are compatible with any future versions that are released.
