As part of our commitment to provide the highest availability hosting services that you not only expect, but deserve, we are notifying you of scheduled maintenance that will be completed on all UK servers later next week.  This maintenance is being carried out by our UK Data Centre and will affect ALL UK Servers we have in that facility

Please review the details regarding this maintenance below:

Scheduled Date and Time: Between 21/12/2012 at 23:00 (11 PM) GMT and 22/12/2012 at 01:00 (1 AM) GMT

Maintenance Window: 2 hours

Maintenance Type: Replacement of current UPS breaker - While we have not had any actual issues with the specific UPS distribution breaker which supplies power to your current server, we have been contacted by the manufacturer of the UPS breaker regarding a potential manufacturing defect that could cause issues in the future. In order to avoid unplanned issues that could potentially affect your services, we will be replacing the UPS breaker in question with a new one as a proactive measure during the times mentioned above.

Estimated Downtime: We understand the importance of minimizing downtime during maintenance and for this reason we will do everything we can to expedite the procedure. Although the maintencance window is for 2 hours to prepare/complete the maintenance downtime is expected to be less then 30 minutes. Please be aware that OpenVZ VPS Nodes specifically may take a little longer for all the containers to restart due to how this virtualization technology works following a reboot.

Once completed, this maintenance will provide the assurance that the breaker in place will not potentially fail at a later time unexpectedly. We apologize about any inconveniences that this may pose for you and assure you that all proactive measures are taken in best interest of the stability of our infrastructure for the highest level of uptime.

If you have any questions and/or concerns regarding this maintenance, please let us know at your earliest convenience and we will be more than willing to address this for you. Thank you very much for your partnership and we hope you have a wonderful day.
