PHP Shared Server Upgrades - Update
We are prgressing well with our shared server PHP Upgrades. Remember Php 5.2 is end of life and the time has come to upgrade all servers using it.
This Saturday 26 January 2013 we will be upgrading Server 23
The vast majority of clients will see no difference and only those clients with older scripts not written for newer PHP versions will see a broken website. If you wake up on Saturday morning and see your website not working simply open a helpdesk ticket and we will arrange to move your account to a VPS Server we have deployed with hostname php52.bigwetfish.co.uk
We are happy to keep this PHP 5.2 server on line for as long as it is needed on the clear understanding that PHP 5.2 is end of life and is no longer supported for security updates. Any website that still needs PHP 5.2 is likely to be less secure as it will be using out of date scripts.
