There was a vulnerability detected in the Centos 6.x Kernel that could cause root privilege escalate for non root users.
The servers have been patched but require a reboot into the new Kernel.
We apologise for the short notice but due to the seriouslness of this detected vulberability we did not want to delay. The following servers will be rebooted at midnight UK time:
VPS7 OpenVZ Node
VPS8 OpenVZ Node
Server 11 Shared Server is getting a new backup drive as the old one cannot hold daily, weekly and monthly backups so this server is being worked on at the same time
All other servers are already patched or do not need patched. We apologise for any downtime. Please note as OpenVZ requires containers to restart individually as well as calculation of quotas there will be a small delay in containers on the VPS Nodes coming back on line.
