The sync is finished.  The array has been setup again and installed.  Currently all MySQL databases are copying from the temporary disk to the new array.  The process is completing as expected.

7.00am - 31 May
The restore is contiuing as expected.  90% of accounts are now restored and on line.  It will only be a short time until all are.

8.00am - 31 May
The restore is finished.  Just to clarify there is NO data loss due to the way we completed this restore and any emails sent to you should start to flow soon as well.  If you do see any issues with individual accounts please open a helpdesk ticket we will be happy to check for you.

5.00pm - 30 May

We will post updates here as we progress with the work overnight. The work is scheduled to start at 11pm.

Good Evening

You are receiving this email as you have an active hosting account on Server 26.

Please have a read at this:  http://www.bigwetfish.co.uk/whmcs/announcements.php?id=202

Today we have installed a temporary hard drive into this server and we have been making a copy of the data in preparation for an emergency restore.

Here is what we need to do starting at 11pm this evening:

  • Take the server off line
  • Perform a final sync of any data changed since the earlier copy (should not take long)
  • Reformat the RAID array and reinstall Cpanel
  • Configure Cpanel
  • Restore the accounts from the temporary hard drive to the newly formatted array

Accounts will restore and come on line one at a time from A-Z (user names) and we will be posting an announcement here to update you on progress:

Thank you for your extreme patience.  We ask you if possible to not add to our workload by opening helpdesk tickets.  Any and all information we have will be posted to the above link.  Thanks for your cooperation.
