Tuesday 9 September: 7.15am
Our network connection to our Orlando USA based servers appears to be stable now.  Routes from our UK location are still through Level3.  The total time for this network outage was just over 2 hours.  We are aware this was not an issue specific to our data centre and the issue lies with L3 but we need to seek clarification on why after 2 hours our data centre did not route around the issue.  It is a multi homed facility so Level 3 going down should not have resulted in 2+ hours downtime.

We are seeing some network issues in our USA Data Centre in Orlando.  Although we have no official information yet we know this issue is not confined to Hostdime and from Twitter it is a level 3 Network Issue that is very widespread.  We are seeing for example the level3 AMS-LAX link is showing 100% packet loss.

On another note our provider has multiple carriers so we are still not sure why the servers were not switched to use an alternative route.  This is something we will provide information on when we get it.  From what we are seeing this appears to be a big outage affecting many providers.

As soon as we have an update we will provide it.
