A recent alert was posted for the OpenVZ linux kernel, RHEL6. The update, 042stab108.5 contains a fix to the issues identified and more information on the update can be found at the following link: https://openvz.org/Download/kernel/rhel6/042stab108.5
We are in the process of applying this patch to all servers (including managed VPS servers) and the update will require the servers to be rebooted into the patched kernel. We intend to schedule the reboots for 2am GMT+0 tonight (Wednesday 24th of June). As this is an important update, we are proceeding with all servers at this time. If for some reason you would prefer us not to patch your server, let us know immediately.
If you prefer to schedule the patching of your server for a specific time let us know immediately and we will schedule it for you.
If we do not hear from you we will be going ahead with this reboot as it is a critical security update. We thank you for your understanding
