As you may have seen from our Twitter Feed we have been helping Mark Ireland from Strangford College with his business idea. Mark was selected as an Intern this summer at the Science Park and in working alongside 5 other interns to win a £10000 prize as an investment in his new business. It's great to see a spirit of entrepreneurship within these 6 interns and I know we were excited yesterday after working with Mark in the Science Park.
Mark is looking to source some OLD rackmount servers for collection within driving distance of Belfast as far as Dublin. Do you have access to any end of life servers that are too old to sell on and are of no further use to you? Mark would love to give them a home as he needs some servers to test a proof of concept based upon the Openstack Cloud.
I appreciate there may be some health and safety issues around second hand electrical equipment so we would of course arrange for all servers to be tested appropriately for electrical safety before passing onto Mark.
