Server 22 Replacement

Status Update:  Saturday 17 October 10.35am 

The switchover has happened and the IP has been switched to the new server.  All sites are now loading from the brand new hardware and the server is very responsive.   Any issues you see with your sites (there really should not be any) just let us know and we will check into it right away.

We apologise once again that the old server was not able to cope with the sites hosted on this box and moving forward we expect a full resolution to the high load and slow performance that was being experienced periodically on this server

Status Update Friday 16 October 9:06am

The hardware replacement for Server 22 is online and all data has been migrated to it. We are currently resolving the addon, parked and sub-domains and once completed will begin a final Rsync of the data on the exisiting server 22 to ensure all data is up to date on the hardware replacement. At this point there will be 5 to 10 minutes downtime while we switch the IP from Server22 to its hardware replacement. Once this is completed, Server22 will be switched off as everyone on Server22 will be loading from the hardware replacement.

Please check back to this announcement for more updates.  We may delay the switchover until off peak this evening as the old server is remaining stable.

Status Update:  Wednesday 14 October:

The new server is racked up and cPanel has been installed.  We are currently migrating the data over and it is 8% complete.  We will then schedule a switchover time. Server 22 is still up and working and we have managed to stabilise the load issues for now.  We are very sure this new box will be a permanent resolve to those clients on this server

Server 22 has been showing load issues for a while and we have been monitoring it for a couple of weeks.  It does need replaced.   Today cPanel auto update from 11.50 to 11.52 has been killing the server and it is slow and unresponsive.  Our team is working hard to stabilise this server.

We have just ordered a brand new server to replace server 22 and this will be on line within 24 hours in our Maidenhead racks.  We will then plan a migration and we know this will completely solve these ongoing issues with server 22
