**Update 11.26am**
Most reports from clients now tell us that websites are now loading but email is not working. A client who changed their Outlook settings to use the server IP instead of the hostname worked indicating that there is perhaps still a DNS lookup issue somewhere. Webmail is working and any client who needs urgent access to email can jump on live chat and we can help you access webmail.
You may also want to try rebooting your router / PC at this time to see if it helps clear any cache.
Another client solved his issue by tethering his laptop to his mobile phone but of course that will likely eat any inclusive data allowance so only do that if you know you have enough data or included data to avoid any charges.
=====================================
We are seeing many tickets and chats this morning from clients telling us their websites and their servers are down. Clients too are reporting email outages.
** All our services are up and working normally **
There is a National BT Broadband Outage that appears to be affecting many parts of the United Kingdom. The Telegraph Newspper website also reports that it is affecting Plusnet customers as well. The issue seems to be intermitent as in our office some sites are loading whilst others are not. We have switched our office to our backup connection.
If you cannot access your website or email this morning from the UK then it's likely you too are affected by this issue.
Our normal ticket response times today is slower as we have a lot of chats on line presently related to this BT issue. Unfortuantely there is nothing we can do to assist you as the issue is with your ISP and not with our servers. As soon as we hear reports that the issue is resolved we will update this announcement.
