Notice: Power Maintenance at Our Business Park
Update: 3.15pm
Mains Power appears to be back on but NIE are still at the Sub Station with lots of vans. Our generators worked as expected but the outages were so short that the servers were held on the UPS's when NIE switched over to generator and back from generator. The issue is now closed.
Update: 11.05am
The data centre is now running on generator power as the mains power is now completely off. This lasted 2 minutes and the mains power came back on poweted by the NIE generator situated at teh substation.
Update: 10.38am
This morning, NIE Networks (Northern Ireland Electricity) began emergency maintenance on the substation that supplies power to the business park where our data centre is located. Unfortunately, no advance notice was provided.
Power to the business park has been switched to an NIE generator while the maintenance is carried out, and we have been advised that this work will continue throughout the day.
Our data centre is fully protected by regularly tested UPS systems and on-site generators, so we do not expect any disruption to client services. We simply wanted to keep you informed of this external maintenance work.
