We have been a Spam Experts partner for over ten years, using this service to support clients who run cPanel based email by improving email deliverability and reliability.
Our current Spam Experts Local Cloud cluster has now reached the end of its lifecycle. While the physical hardware was refreshed five years ago, the overall platform is more than ten years old. Over the past twelve months, this has contributed to three short service outages. To maintain reliability and performance, an upgrade is now required.
As part of our service evolution, we no longer offer cPanel based email to new clients and instead provide our hosted email platform at https://bigwetfish.hosting/email
Because of this change, we no longer need to maintain a large local Spam Experts cluster in our data centre. We will, however, continue to offer Spam Experts to existing clients.
What is changing
During February and March 2026, we will migrate all email accounts currently using our Spam Experts Local Cloud to the Spam Experts Hosted Cloud. This is the same Spam Experts product, hosted directly by Spam Experts.
As part of this migration, your domain’s MX record will need to change. No other settings will be affected. Your IMAP and SMTP server details will remain exactly the same.
What you need to do
You will receive a migration email from us in February 2026 with clear instructions. Please do not ignore this email. If the required MX record change is not completed before we decommission our local cluster, email service for your domain will stop working.
The good news is that we manage DNS for approximately 90 percent of domains using Spam Experts, meaning most clients will not need to take any action. Only a small number of clients will need to update their MX records manually.
A dedicated team member will be assigned to manage this migration from February 2026, and we will be available to assist you throughout the process.
Thank you for your cooperation as we complete this important upgrade. For most clients, this will be a simple DNS level change with no impact on day to day email use.
