Our senior team has managed to get the server running again. However, we can confirm it has been compromised, though no data has been taken. In situations like this, it is fairly standard for backdoors to be left behind, so we are taking extra precautions. We have built a new server and are currently restoring from backup to a temporary IP address. Once that restore is complete, we will assess whether it is safe to sync live data from the old server before swapping over the IP address. Some clients on this server did notice downtime earlier, but all services are now back online. We will still be replacing the server out of an abundance of caution. It would appear cpmail1.bigwetfish.co.uk is one of the server affected by this vulnerability. WHM login screen is now showing a version from 2019 and email services are off line. We are looking into this as quickly as we can but it's likely we need to rebuild this server and restore it.
