Virgin Media, DNS and USA Servers

Hello

We have received a handful of reports from clients who report their websites are down.  All servers are up at this time and all sites are resolving for us.  All these clients appear to be using Virgin Media as their home broadband suppler.

One client changed his local computer to use Google Public DNS servers instead of Virgin Media DNS Servers and the issue was instantly resolved.  We therefore assume there is a temporary 'blip' somewhere with Virgin Media DNS servers resolving sites on our Orlando based servers.

We hope this issue will be resolved shortly.  Anyone affected who wants to use google dns as a temporary (or permanent!) solution instructions are here:  http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using.html

You can also check your site is working through many of the freely available Proxy Servers such as:  http://anonymouse.org/anonwww.html
