Update 12.54pm : Restore is 90% complete. Any sites throwing php errors will be sorted once we recompile php but we felt at 5am it was best starting the restore rather than compile php and further delay. The server has php 5.3 at the moment and we need to downgrade to php 5.2 as many sites are now not working due to depreciated functions. We will compile php the moment we complete the restores

Update 5.03am : The server is currently being restored from backup.

Updste 11.37pm : The server is back on line with centOS. We are now installing Cpanel. After which we will begin a restore from backup.

Update 10.40pm : Unfortunately the server needs to be restored. We have spent 8 hours working on things and the data is not able to be salvaged. We need to reinstall the operating system, reinstall cpanel and then restore the server from backups. Thanks for your patience on this.

Update: 7.35pm : The fsck is still completing. The disk is 1.5TB in size hence the delay. Here is what is is currently showing:

Uodate 6.18pm : A manual fsck is still completing on the OS partition and we will update here once it is complete

The server has been booted with LIVECD and we are currently running an FSCK on the drives. We also sent an email to all active clients on this server.

Update 3.31pm : We believe this to be RAID related but as we cannot access the server we are waiting on confirmation from our data centre techs. Update 3.19pm : Allow us to address some issues coming through in support tickets. Sorry for standard replies linking you to this page but it is best to refer clients here reather than type the same reply many times. The server you are on is a standard shared server and the hardware is off line. A few reboots has not enabled is to log in. We cannot console to the server so we have passed the issue to the network operations centre staff who are troubleshooting now.
The server has a backup drive as we know a lot of clients are concerned about their data. We have no reason to believe there is any loss of data at this stage and the server also has RAID meaning wvwn if one drive failed all data is still recoverable.

Server 21 has gone off line. A reboot has not broght the server back. We are awaiting an update from a technician at the data centre on the status of the server.
