KVM Session to my server?

All our Dedicated Servers in our UK facility come with one free KVM Session per month as standard.  A KVM session is where we connect a device to the server that allows you to remotely connect to your server in the data centre just as if you were in the data centre.  KVM stands for Keyboard, Video and Mouse and you may request one free KVM session per month.

The setup time on a KVM is maximum 30 minutes and we will physically connect a device to the server and provide you with an IP address, username and password.  Each session lasts for 4 hours.  If you need an additional 4 hours the cost is a modest £20 + VAT for 4 hours.

Please note the use of a KVM will generally only apply to self managed dedicated servers.  If you are a fully managed client we will always perform such work for you and request such a session on your behalf.  There is also no additional charges for fully managed server clients whose server needs a KVM.

Many of our servers also come with IPMI which we can configure for you.  This very much acts like a permanent KVM.  We do not configure this as standard for security reasons but we can on request.
